After the TCA, the Tripura Football Association is now in the eye of a storm over the suspension of Parvej Bhuiyan , a footballer of Blood Mouth club, for tampering the no-objection certificate (NOC) issued by Agiye Chalo Sangha club . Following a complaint filed in this regard by the secretary of the Blood Mouth club Sevak Bhattacharjee , the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has sought an explanation on the issue from the TFA.
Sources from TFA said that leading footballer Parvej Bhuiyan had allegedly tampered a NOC shown as issued by the local Agiye Chalo Sangha and played last year for a football club in Delhi in lieu of a hefty payment. This year Parvej Bhuiyan who was supposed to play for Agiye Chalo Sangha in the local league and knock-out tournaments had signed for Blood Mouth club , reportedly in an irregular manner. The authority of the Agiye Chalo Sangha had filed a complaint against Parvej Bhuiyan in this regard to the TFA authority demanding his suspension.
The TFA secretary Amit Chowdhury took up the matter with the governing body of the association and got a decision to suspend Parvej Bhuiyan for the current year passed without even issuing a show-cause notice to the footballer or referring the matter to the Player Status Committee (PSC), as required by the TFA constitution . Stung by the loss of a good and costly footballer the Blood Mouth Club secretary Sevak Bhattacharjee filed a complaint with the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Now the AIFF has issued a notice to the TFA, an affiliated unit of the Federation asking whether proper procedure had been followed before suspending Parvej Bhuiyan and whether the issue had been referred to the Player Status Committee (PSC) of TFA. The reply to the AIFF letter is yet to be furnished by the TFA authority.
Meanwhile, the Blood Mouth club secretary Sevak Bhattacharjee has condemned the functioning of the TFA and blamed it for creating a mess in state football. Sevak also declared that he will see the end of the matter , if necessary by moving the high court against TFA’s decision to suspend Parvez Bhuiyan in violation of TFA’s constitutional provisions.
