Government of India Approves New State Emblem for Tripura

In a landmark decision, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has approved the proposed design of the State Emblem for the Government of Tripura. The approval was conveyed through an official letter dated January 7, 2025, addressed to Dr. P.K. Chakravarty, Secretary of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Tripura.

The emblem design was examined under the State Emblem of India (Regulation of Use) Rules, 2007 (amended in 2010), and found in order. The Ministry's approval paves the way for the formal adoption of this emblem, symbolizing the identity and governance of Tripura.

This marks a significant step in enhancing the state's representation and cultural identity at the national level.
