Three vehicles entangled in major collision in Darogabari area near Sekerkote , more than ten injured

At least ten people got seriously injured in a major clash involving three Maruti vehicles and a motor bike at Darogabari area near Sekerkote under Bishalgarh subdivision yesterday in the evening . The injured , still unidentified by police sources, were rushed to TMC and GBP hospitals where they are still under treatment . Giving details police sources said that yesterday at dusk two Mauti Wagonr and Maruti vehicles numbered TRO16C0682 and TRO1AH0543 had reached Darogabari from opposite directions but could not avert a face-to-face collision as two other vehicles , a Maruti Echo numbered TRO6C0251 and a motor vehicle bearing the number TRO7C5548 had come along to the spot from opposite directions and got entangled in a major clash .

This collision created a massive noise and people from nearby areas rushed to the spot even though heavy rainfall was lashing the area. Realising the gravity of the situation the people telephonically informed the Fire Brigade authorities in Bishalgarh and Badharghat even as the road on both sides got jammed. The Fire Brigade jawans rescued the injured passengers and managed to shift them to the TMC and GBP hospitals at Agartala . More than ten persons, mostly passengers of the Maruti vehicles including the drivers as well as the bike rider got injured though no fatality has so far been reported. Sources said that the Daroga Bari area as well as the Rastarmatha area have been prone to accidents over the past many years but traffic authority has not taken any action for control and surveillance of the speeding vehicles . They demanded immediate installation of a big traffic post there with sufficient personnel.
