Kishor Barman Assigned Panchayat, Higher Education & G.A. (Political) Departments in Tripura Cabinet Reshuffle

In a recent cabinet reshuffle by the Government of Tripura, Shri Kishor Barman, a Cabinet Minister, has been officially assigned the charge of three key departments, Panchayat, Higher Education, and General Administration (Political).

As per the notification issued by the GA (Confidential and Cabinet) Department, Tripura (F.3(1)-GA(CAB)/2023), the Governor of Tripura, on the advice of the Chief Minister, has allocated these portfolios to Shri Barman with immediate effect under Rule-5 of the Rules of Executive Business of the State Government.

The order was issued by Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha and has been circulated to all concerned administrative departments, including the Governor, Chief Minister, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, and other key offices.

This decision is seen as a significant move, especially with the inclusion of Higher Education and Panchayat, two critical sectors for grassroots development and youth empowerment in the state.
