PM Modi is My Political Guru: CM Manik Saha

On the occasion of Guru Purnima, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his political mentor, crediting Modi’s leadership for inspiring his foray into politics. “If anyone asks who my political guru is, I will always say PM Narendra Modi,” he told reporters.

Dr Saha, formerly a renowned maxillofacial surgeon, also expressed gratitude to his academic teachers, noting their lasting influence on his life.

The Chief Minister made these remarks during a Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting at Agartala Government Dental College (AGDC), where he urged faculty and staff to work collectively for institutional growth. Highlighting AGDC’s academic progress, he said all 63 students from the first batch have moved to their second year. He instructed officials to expedite hostel construction and ensure better facilities for students, interns, and postgraduates. Faculty dedication, he added, is key to national recognition.
