Trinamool Congress has urged the left trade unions to exempt Tripura from their nationwide bandh call in support of their 17-point charter of demands, as the state is observing Kharchi festival left trade unions have given a call for Bharat Bandh on July 9, which is the last day for Kharchi festival. Shantanu Saha, president of Trinamool Youth Congress, in a statement, said if the transport system remains closed due to the bandh call, many people may be deprived of visiting the Chaturdash Devata Mandir on that day. It will be an unfortunate thing if the left trade union leaders failed to realize the situation.
