Agartala Press Club celebrate success of wards of club members in TBSE exams, heartening programme held

The managing committee of Agartala Press Club today held a heartening programme to felicitated the sons and daughters of club members who have done well in the just-concluded ‘Madhyamik’ and HS (+2) exams of Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) this year. This is the first time that such a felicitation programme has been held for the wards of club members who have acquitted themselves well in the Board exams.

Altogether fifteen students-all sons and daughters of Club members-were felicitated and given a memento, cheques of Rs 2 thousand each and a sapling each for planting at homes as part of the protection programme. The programme was attended by president of the press club Pranab Sarkar, secretary Roma Kanta De, former president and prominent media personalities Subal Kumar De, former president Sekhar Datta and Jayanta Bhattacharjee and incumbent vice president Chitra Roy.

The guests present on the dais addressed the programme briefly and encouraged the students to dedicate themselves to studies to ensure greater success in their student careers ahead. All the leading media personalities also called upon the students to inculcate higher moral values while pursuing academic excellence. At the end of the brief programme all the guests including the students were treated to a luncheon. The club authorities promised to make this programme an annual event of the club.
