The Monsoon Mango Fiesta 2025 concluded with great fanfare near the picturesque Narikel Kunj in Gandatwisa, marking a celebration of both agriculture and culture. Tripura’s Agriculture Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, graced the grand closing day as the chief guest, delivering an inspiring message to farmers and stakeholders alike.
“The way mango production has strengthened the socio-economic fabric of the Gandatwisa region, and the way Narikel Kunj has evolved into a tourist hotspot, it gives me strong hope,” said Minister Nath. “One day, Gandatwisa will earn a name for itself on the global map through its mango farming and tourism potential.”
Minister Nath engaged with local farmers during the event, applauding their contribution to rural progress. He encouraged them to adopt modern agricultural techniques and tap into broader markets to further enhance their livelihoods.
The two days festival featured an impressive exhibition of local mango varieties, complemented by traditional food stalls and vibrant cultural performances. The lively atmosphere attracted visitors from neighboring towns and districts, reinforcing the area’s growing appeal as an agro-tourism hub.
Organizers and attendees expressed pride over the event’s success, calling it a meaningful step toward promoting mango-based tourism and empowering rural communities across Tripura.
