In response to recent concerns regarding state data centers server disruptions and in government online services, the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, has issued a detailed clarification today. According to the Directorate, all core functionalities of the Tripura State Data Centre (TSDC) have now been restored following a technical fault in one of the data servers that temporarily affected several applications.

The server issue, which recently disrupted several department run online services, was promptly addressed by the Directorate with assistance from technical experts from Delhi and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). As a result, all affected digital services are currently operational, the DIT confirmed in a rejoinder.

However, Directorate sources acknowledged that some job application related data, particularly concerning online job applications for SOFED and the Health Department

has not yet been recovered. Due to this, both departments have begun contacting affected applicants via phone, requesting them to re-upload essential documents. Applicants have been urged to re-submitting their documents through the respective departmental portals or official channels.

Clarifying its role in the management of departmental websites, the DIT stated that it is responsible for technical maintenance, hosting, and ensuring server uptime of government web portals. However, the regular updating of website content,

including announcements, circulars, policies, and scheme related details remains the responsibility of the respective departments. These departments have already been provided with necessary access to manage their web content.

To streamline this process, the DIT has introduced a Weekly Website Review System, enabling departments to identify and report outdated or incorrect content and to maintain greater accountability over public facing information.

The Directorate also reiterated its ongoing efforts to upgrade the Tripura State Data Centre infrastructure. This augmentation includes increased data capacity and the implementation of a robust cybersecurity framework aimed at strengthening the state's overall digital governance ecosystem.
