Speaking on the issue the secretary of the ASJC and senior journalist Santosh Gope said that the sports journalists and photographers will be brought under an accidental insurance cover of Rs 2 lakhs per year. He said that there are over fifty sports journalists and photographers in Tripura and to have access to the benefit of insurance they will be required to submit Xerox copies of their Aadhar cards, birth certificates, permanent residence certificates and employment certification to the ASJC secretary on or before June 20.
