In a significant gesture of assurance and communal harmony, a fresh Qurbani (Eid sacrifice) was held today at a house in Rajnagar, Udaipur, where miscreants had earlier attacked on Eid day, disrupting the religious ritual and preventing the sacrifice from taking place.
Following Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s direct intervention and instructions, the re-sacrifice was arranged to uphold the religious rights of the affected family. The event was carried out under the leadership of Tripura Pradesh Minority Cell President Billal Mia and noted Islamic scholar Mufti Taiyabur Rahman.
Local residents and community leaders gathered at the site to support the initiative, which is being seen as a strong statement from the government against any attempt to disturb peace or infringe on religious practices.
Speaking to media persons, representatives present at the event said that this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring justice, safety, and equal rights for all communities in Tripura. Authorities have also assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the earlier incident.
The peaceful conduct of the Qurbani today sent out a powerful message of solidarity and reinforced the constitutional right to religious freedom, a value deeply cherished in the diverse cultural fabric of Tripura.
