AIIMS Delhi Delegation Visits Tripura to Review Health Infrastructure; CM Reaffirms Commitment to Best Healthcare Services

Although the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) or an AIIMS-like super-specialty hospital promised in the election manifesto has not yet been implemented, a high-level professional team from AIIMS, New Delhi, today visited Tripura to assess and suggest improvements to the state's health infrastructure, particularly focusing on the GBP Hospital and Agartala Government Medical College.
During their visit, the delegation held an important meeting with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and top health officials of the state at the T.I.F.T. Conference Hall. The AIIMS team was led by none other than Professor M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS, New Delhi. The team also included several senior doctors and healthcare experts.
Tripura's Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the government's strong commitment to providing the best possible healthcare services to the people of the state. He said that the state government is committed to providing the best possible services to its citizens in the field of healthcare.
The meeting focused on the current condition and challenges of the GBP Hospital and explored the ways AIIMS can support in improving patient care, infrastructure, and medical management. Present in the meeting from the state side were Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, IAS, CM's OSD Dr. Parmananda Sarkar Banerjee, Director of Health Services, and other senior officials and doctors.
The state government looks forward to leveraging AIIMS Delhiās guidance and expertise in upgrading the standards of medical care in Tripura in the coming months.
