Ram Krishna Mission authority launch service for flood affected people

The Ram Krishna Mission, known for its service to crisis ridden common people cutting across identities, particularly in times of natural calamities have swung into action in aid of people affected by flood conditions in and around Agartala . Incessant rain from Friday night , all through Saturday and partially on Sunday forced many people living in low-lying areas to take shelter in camps in and around Agartala.
Assessing the gravity of the situation the mission authority comprising monks and ordinary devotees in Dhaleshwar area today launched relief work in Raj Nagar and other areas of Ram Nagar assembly constituency under the leadership of Swami Sushanta Nanda Maharaj. As part of the relief work the team of Ram Krishna Mission led by Swami Sushanta Nanda distributed food items for lunch among 600 evacuees in relief camps in Raj Nagar and other areas of the constituency.
The team of the Ram Krishna Mission was accompanied by the corporator Tushar Kanti Bhattacharjee and Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majuder who is also the elected MLA from Ram Nagar assembly constituency . Both Tushar Kanti Bhattacharjee and Dipak Majumder thanked the Ram Krishna Mission team for their service. Sources from the mission said that their service work will continue as long as the evacuees remain stranded in relief camps.
