Three Arrested in Snatching Cases; Investigation Underway

Tripura police have arrested three individuals in connection with two recent snatching cases and produced them before the court seeking remand.

According to reports, a youth named Rahul Das from Agartala had advertised a mobile phone for sale on social media. When he arrived near the headquarters of the 1st Battalion of TSR at Gokulnagar in Bishalgarh to meet a potential buyer, he was threatened at gunpoint in an attempt to snatch the mobile phone.

Following the incident, Rahul Das lodged a formal complaint at Bishalgarh Police Station. Acting on his written complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections and began an investigation. The prompt action led to the successful arrest of the three accused.

During initial interrogation, the arrested individuals revealed names of other suspected accomplices. Police have confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the crime.

Speaking to the media, Officer-in-Charge of Bishalgarh Police Station, Sanjit Sen, provided a detailed account of the ongoing investigation and assured that all individuals linked to the incident will be brought to justice swiftly.
