Heart-rending : autorickshaw driver, sole earner of his family , dies by accident

A heart-rending mishap took away the life of a popular autorickshaw driver in Belonia, rendering his family totally helpless as the deceased autorickshaw driver was the sole earning member of his family of five members. Giving details police sources said that Satyajit Majumder (40) , a resident of Manurmukh Madhyapara area of Belonia town , was an autorickshaw driver by profession and he was also the owner of his autorickshaw.

Yesterday in the morning Satyajit had loaded his autorickshaw with bamboo and delivered them in the Ramnagar area from Bankar area. On his way back to his residential area from Ramnagar Satyajit had taken a narrow village road for short-cut with one passenger but suddenly his autorickshaw fell down in a ten feet deep roadside ditch . Even though Satyajit lay still the lone injured passenger shouted for help. The local people came rushing in and sent Satyajit to Belonia hospital where the doctor Arup Roy declared him ‘brought dead’.

Satyajit’s death sent shock-waves in the entire Manurmukh Madhyapara area and people deeply grieved his demise. He is survived by his wife , two children and old mother who now have no means of survival, having tragically lost the sole bread earner of the family. The local people have appealed to the political leadership in the town to arrange for a job for Satyajit’s wife as he was known to be a gentle and very well-behaved and sincere person.
