With ground slipping steady from under feet , the illegitimate , terrorist-propped Yunus regime is resorting to wily ploys to put ban on Awami League and have it de-registered by the election commission. Left to himself Md Yunus would have gleefully banned the Awami League but he is thwarted from the misadventure by fear of international reaction and this is now being made an issue by the sinister combine of fundamentalists and terrorists among the unruly believer students .
Yesterday a large group of notoriously pro-fundamentalist, so-called students staged a demonstration in Dhaka to press for banning of Awami League and the party’s de-registration by the election commission. Sources from across the border said that these ‘Jahil’ pro-fundamentalist students are scared of the groundswell of support still enjoyed by the Awami Leage . Despite all kinds of persecution like implication in false cases, jailing of leaders and downright killing public support is gradually veering round to the Awami League in view of the gross misrule and total lawlessness in the country under the present illegitimate regime.
Sources said that a long bout of anti-Awami League slogan shouting five representatives of the pro-fundamentalist students met in deputation with the advisor (legal affairs) Asif Nazrul and submitted a memorandum demanding banning of Awami League . The memorandum cited many instances of alleged police killing and forced disappearances during Awami League rule and demanded trial of its leaders . Asif Nazrul who is also enjoying loaves and fishes of power alongside other advisors assured the deputationists that he will discuss the matter at the highest level and an appropriate decision in this regard will be taken in the matter.
