Donation box in ‘Matabari’ temple throw surprises, donation in international currencies

The opening of donation boxes in Udaipur’s ‘Matabari’ temple today by official authority has thrown up pleasant surprises. Altogether sixteen donation boxes of the temple were opened today in presence of official authority from the DM (Gomati) office . What seemed surprising is that many donations had been given in Dollars, Quaiti Dinars, currency notes of Nepal and Bangladesh. Among the foreign currencies the Dollar was the highest in quantity.

Sources from the temple management authority said that this is nothing new as earlier also donations in foreign currencies had been found, though in lesser amounts. The counting of the donation amounts to be finally deposited with the state treasury is still on and, as of now, the total amount available from the sixteen opened donation boxes can not be quantified.
