Congress keen for organisational revival with mass contact drives

Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha announced that the Congress Party will soon initiate a year-long door-to-door mass contact campaign under the slogan “Save Constitution.”

Addressing media at Congress Bhavan, Saha said the party has convened meetings to brief all its wings, cells, and departments about the upcoming political programs. He stated that 2025 will be dedicated to the organisational revival of the Congress Party in the state.

As part of this strategy, the party will hold protest rallies over the next one and a half months at state, district, and block levels, focused on safeguarding constitutional values. Following this, the year-long door-to-door campaign will commence.

Saha emphasized that the Congress will focus on the demand for a caste census, aligning with the AICC’s directives. The party plans to organize multiple outreach campaigns and protests to press for a revision in reservation policies based on caste census data. He also voiced support for anti-Waqf protests to ensure that the fundamental rights of the Muslim community are protected from arbitrary regulations.
