Seven Bangladeshi Detained in Belonia

Police detained seven Bangladeshi citizens while they were crossing the border through Amzadnagar in Belonia on Sunday. All of them are now in police custody.

Acting on a secret report the police led by Shibu Ranjan Dey, Officer-in-Charge of Belonia Police Station detained a car at Manur Mukh Tabla Chowmuhani through which the Bangladeshis were traveling and detained all of them. Police took the driver of the car Raju Biswas also in custody.

All the detained admitted that they are members to Chatra League, the students wing of Awami League and was feeling insecure in their country. They also admitted that an Indian Tout helped them cross the border.
