The workers of the outsourced company of the Tripura State Electric Corporation Limited demonstrated following the death of one of their colleagues in GB Hospital who was injured a few days ago while on duty. The entire area in front of the TSECL office remained disturbed for quite a long time when one of the employees of the outsourced company was assaulted by the agitating workers.

The workers were alleging negligence by the company that has engaged them. They alleged that Tapash Nama Das, who died on Sunday morning, was in hospital when none from the outsourced company or the TSECL visited him. 'It reflects the extent of negligence on the part of the authorities', said one of the agitating workers. He alleged that the company must pay adequate compensation to the bereaved family.
