Dissent is brewing in different parts of the state over the refusal to admit students in class VI in the same school from where they had passed the class V examination. The dissidence is general throughout the state but it came to fore in two places, Kanchanpur and Karbook. In Kanchanpur the guardians of Ratanmani Memorial Ashram School locked the main gate of the school keeping the teachers inside while in Karbook Eklavya School the guardians resorted to road blockade movement. In both the cases the agitation was withdrawn after intervention of the administration but the guardians said they will resume the agitation if the authority fails to admit their wards within a short time.
The problem started as the schools refused to admit many of the students citing reason that they had failed in the admission test. The gurdians of the Ratanmani Memorial Ashram School in Kanchanpur and the Eklabya School in Karbook alleged malpractice in the admission test. The guardians of Karbook Eklavya School alleged that only three out of 58 students who passed class V examination from the school had succeeded in the admission test. They refuse to accept the result.
