LoP Jiten received grand welcome by party workers

A day after being appointed to the CPI(M)'s highest decision-making body, the politburo, as the successor to Manik Sarkar, CPI(M) state secretary and Leader of Opposition Jitendra Choudhury received a grand welcome at Agartala’s MBB Airport. Addressing the media, Choudhury expressed his gratitude, calling the appointment a recognition of the CPI(M)’s decades-long struggle in Tripura. He emphasized the party’s continuous efforts to uplift the lives of people through transparent and effective governance. Choudhury stated that the party’s legacy of hard work and commitment to public welfare had earned the people’s trust. He added that he hopes to meet the expectations placed on him and sincerely carry out his responsibilities as a newly-inducted politburo member.
