Founder of Tipra Motha Party, Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, predicted that the 2028 Tripura Assembly elections would mark the beginning of Tiprasa rule. Speaking at a public meeting in Matabari, Udaipur, he emphasized that unity, or "Thansa" in Kokborok, is essential for achieving this goal.

Debbarman made it clear that his party is aiming to secure a majority in the next assembly elections. Currently, Tipra Motha, with 14 MLAs, is the second-largest party in the state and part of the BJP-led coalition through a post-poll understanding. He also highlighted that the 2026 ADC elections would lay the groundwork for their 2028 victory.

He urged party members to stay united, stating that while it took 200 years for independence from the British and 35 years to defeat CPIM, he was asking for just three more years to establish Tiprasa rule. His vision includes ensuring quality education, particularly English education, for future generations.

Reacting to comments by Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Md Yunus, he asserted that Tiprasa people have the strength to defend their land. He recalled the bravery of Tiprasa warriors like Rai Kasam and Rai Kasak, emphasizing their significance beyond individual communities.

Debbarman also expressed disappointment over negative campaigns against him.
