Youth Parliament Held in State Assembly Under Sports Minister’s Initiative!

A unique event took place in the Tripura State Assembly as the Youth Parliament was organized under the initiative of the Sports Department. The event was primarily arranged by Minister Tinku Roy and was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Minister Animesh Debbarma, Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen, and several other MLAs.
Inaugurating the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized that today’s youth are the future of the nation. He stated that the Bikashit Bharat Youth Parliament is being organized by the state government’s Youth Affairs and Sports Department to provide young minds with an understanding of parliamentary procedures and instill respect for India’s democratic framework, as enshrined in the Constitution.
A total of 40 students selected from different districts participated in the event. The Chief Minister encouraged the participants and reiterated that India’s youth are the nation’s greatest strength. He also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of youth empowerment, which aims to harness their potential for the country's development.
The event, aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision for greater youth participation in nation-building, allowed young representatives from different parts of the state to share their ideas. Dr. Manik Saha expressed hope that the "Bikashit Bharat Youth Parliament Competition 2025" would inspire the next generation. He also extended his best wishes to the three students selected from this event who will represent the state in the national-level competition in Delhi.
