Tripura Launches Landmark DSM Measures to Enhance Energy Efficiency

In a major step toward energy efficiency, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL), in collaboration with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and GreenTree Global, successfully launched its Demand Side Management (DSM) measures at Pragna Bhawan, Agartala. The event, attended by over 70 officials and industry experts, highlighted the state's commitment to sustainable energy practices.
Chief Guest Muhammad Sajad P, IAS, Managing Director of TIDC Ltd., inaugurated the event, emphasizing Tripura’s long-term vision for reducing energy consumption and improving grid reliability. Key dignitaries, including Swapan Debbarma (General Manager, TSECL), Er. Sima Das (AGM & SDA Nodal, TSECL), Gopal Karmakar (General Manager, NEEPCO), and Mongsi Mog (Superintending Engineer, Tripura Jal Board), shared insights on energy conservation strategies.
The event featured an interactive session and demonstrations, including a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) and a Walk-Through Energy Audit for MSME industries. Energy-efficient products were also showcased by leading vendors such as EESL and KSB, reinforcing Tripura’s DSM goals.
With stakeholders from the government, private sector, and civil society actively engaged, this initiative marks a transformative step toward a more energy-efficient and sustainable future for Tripura.
