Tipra Motha Leader Threatens to Strip Agartala Residents Over Strike

A political storm has erupted after a controversial remark by a Tipra Motha leader, warning Agartala residents that their "pants will be taken off" if goods fail to reach Gol Bazar due to a strike.

During a visit to the national highway in Kathalbari, Ambassa, Tipra Motha block president Pradip Reang stated that if their demands were not met, they might enforce an indefinite blockade. However, shortly after making the statement, the Tripura Students' Federation (TSF) lifted their indefinite strike, leaving the Tipra Motha leader and his party in an awkward position.

Opposition parties have slammed the remark as undemocratic and provocative, while Tipra Motha has yet to release an official response.
