BJP Booth Office, along with the car of its president, got gutted in Dharmanagr

A devastating fire gutted the EECO car of the president of the BJP booth committee and the Booth office where the car had been parked for several months at ward no. 5 of the Uttar Ganganagar Gao-panchayat in Dharmanagr on Tuesday night, sparking many speculations.

The Booth Committee has been situated in the house of the president, Nirmal Kanti Ghosh, since 2018. All party work used to be performed from this office, and the car was also used for party work. On Tuesday night at around 12.30, he suddenly noticed that the office is burning. Receiving the information the Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire but by that time the car and the office room were destroyed. Nirmal Ghosh told police that the damage must be at the tune of Rs five Lakh.

MLA Jadablal Debnath. SDPO B Jerinpuia, OC of Bagbasha Police station Partha Deb, and many other BJP leaders assembled in the area. The Mandal President, Bikash Nath, said the party was supposed to organize a meeting in the grounds of Lok Nath Temple adjacent to the party office to celebrate the two years of the BJP governments second term. He suapected that there may be some conspiracy behind the fire incident to sabotage the program.
