As soon as the voting in West Tripura LS polls over, opposition's houses were attacked, RO and SP of West District were in the field even late at night

The opposition INDIA block leaders at midnight allagged that in various polling stations including 6 Agartala Vidhan Sabha seats in the capital of West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency, there were allegations of attacks on the homes of opposition parties polling agents after evening. Allegedly, the house of Halema Khatun in Nandannagar and the house of Biplab Chowdhury in Abhaynagar were attacked at night. Houses were vandalized and householders were beaten.

The India block leaders alleged that opposition agent Shyamal Roy and his female family members were beaten up in Bhadarghat Sripalli. Reportedly, as soon as these information about the attacks came to West Tripura's Returning Officer Dr. Vishal Kumar after the polling of West Tripura's Lok Sabha seat, he went to multiple attack areas including Nandannagar along with West Tripura's Superintendent of Police at night itself. In response to questions from media representatives, he said the names of some of the criminals have been found. They will be arrested. Dr. Vishal Kumar said that these political violence after the election is not desirable and will not be tolerated.
