Tripura' High Court directed the state govt to regularize SSA teachers, said lawyer Purushottam Roy Barman

The Tripura High Court today directed the state government to regularize the 2000 Sarba Siksha teachers (SSA) in Tripura, said senior lawyer Purushottam Roy Barman.According to the senior advocate Shri Ray Barman, Justices Aparesh Singh and Sabyasachi Dutta Purakayastha of the Tripura High Court passed the said judgement. Today two judges of the High Court issued a direct directive to the state government to regularize the Sarva Shiksha teachers, Ray Barman said.
Shri Roy Barman said, as a result of this judgment of the High Court, 2000 SSA  teachers in Tripura will become regular. Earlier in 2021, Tripura High Court Justices Akhil Alam Qureshi and Satya Gopal Chatterjee directed the state government to introduce a scheme to regularize all SSA teachers in Tripura. But then the state education department introduced a scheme so complicated that many could not become regulars. Many cases were filed in the High Court of Tripura against this critical scheme. Today, after the final hearing of all the cases together, Justices Apresh Singh and Sabyasachi Dutta Purakayastha issued an order to regularize all the SSA teachers in Tripura. This gives an opportunity to those who were appointed as SSA teachers between 2001 and 2021 to be regularized unless the Tripura government appeals to the Supreme Court against the High Court's verdict.
