Manik Sarkar foresees magic result in Tripura provided the election is free and fair

The former chief minister and leader of the opposition Manik Sakrar today predicted a ‘magic result’ in Tripura Loksabha elections in two seats as well as in Ram Nagar assembly by-poll provided the election is free and fair. He said that lot of complaints about the forcible prevention of voters from proceeding to the polling stations have already poured in from Bishalgarh , Boxa Nagar, Matabari , Mohanpur, Barjala, Bamutia and other assembly segments. “ In case the election concludes peacefully we can expect a magic result in both west Tripura and Ram Nagar assembly by-poll as people are fed up with the misrule of the BJP , hooliganism and corruption” said Manik.
He said that there  is every chance that the East Tripura seat will be won by the CPI (M) because the ‘Tipra Motha’ which had won 19% votes and 13 seats in the assembly by taking a stand against the BJP have already surrendered to the ruling party . “Naturally the votes they received in the assembly election will not remain with them because they have surrendered to the BJP and the ‘Motha’ leadership have set an example of extreme nepotism by putting up Kriti Debi Debbarman as candidate, without naming her, as she has no connection with Tripura and the state’s voters; it is therefore natural that the tribal voters feel betrayed and will support BJP” said Sarkar.
He also asserted that this time the INDIA alliance will form the government as per assessment made by all parties and because of pre-poll alliances formed by the regional opposition. Manik however slammed the Trinamool Congress and Mamata Banerjee saying voting for Mamata and her party will mean indirectly mean voting for the BJP. What he hinted at is that Trinamool and BJP have arrived at a secret understanding while appearing to fight on opposite sides . He however said that here in Tripura the ruling BJP has no reason to win any one of the poll bound seats including the by-election to Ram Nagar assembly constituency because of their dismal track record in governance, corruption and failure to provide relief to the people in distress for price rise, unemployment problem and communal polarization .
