Social media helps teenagers stay in touch with friends, explore interests, and express themselves freely. Artificial intelligence further enhances this experience by curating information according to individual interests. Despite these advantages, excessive reliance on virtual interaction often diminishes meaningful face-to-face communication. Teenagers are increasingly exposed to cyberbullying, online impersonation, data misuse, and digital surveillance, often without full awareness of cybersecurity risks.
Studies and everyday experiences show that increased screen time often coincides with rising loneliness, especially among teenagers. Confidence now thrives in online interactions, even as real-world playgrounds lie empty, replaced by crowded game servers and digital arenas of connection. Behind this endless stream of posts works artificial intelligence, shaping our attention and emotions.
In a sense, social media connects profiles; AI connects data-but only humans can connect hearts. Without limits and awareness, the tools meant to unite us may quietly leave us ALONE!
