Judiciary & all organ of the states Acting on Instructions from the Government and Its Political Allies

The current government of Bangladesh came to power with the commitment to ensure the rule of law and equal justice for all, regardless of political affiliation, region, or other factors. They also said the judiciary should act impartially.

Unfortunetly, in reality, their actions fully contrdict  these claims.

* Shortly after the new interim government took office, a group of students attacked the house and office of the Chief Justice, pressuring him to resign. For the past 53 years, we have learned to deeply respect these institutions, but this was a disrespectful and dishonorable act, unlike anything we have ever seen.

* After the Chief Justice resigned, the same group of students demanded the removal of 12 justices from the Appellate Division and the appointment of 23 new justices, chosen by Dr. Yunus and his political allies, to secure judgments that favour their interests.

* This group also pressured the New Chief Justice not to support judges who didn’t align with their demands.

* Recently, the students organized protests demanding the resignation of the President. Although the President did not resign , he was forced to approve the list made by them for appointment of 23 new judges to the High Court Division.

* Many former ministers, members of parliament, secretaries, senior police officers, army officials, and over 50,000 Awami League activists have been arrested without any clear reason. Unfortunately, no lawyer has been able to secure bail for them.

* At this point, it seems that justice does not exist in the country.

* Few days back a pro-BNP  lawyer threw egg to judge while he was in court and then the  judge was compelled to leave the court and lodged complaint to chief justice.

* Now the interim  government with political parties in alliance  are destroying the country. In this position the judiciary is  required to play right role for the sake of nation. But the  justice resigned and  the same group of students demanded the removal of 12 justices from the Appellate Division and the appointment of 23 new justices, chosen by Dr. Yunus and his political allies, to secure judgments that favour their interests.
