A Tide of Compassion: Agartala Unites for Flood Victims !

In the face of adversity, the resilient spirit of Agartala shines bright. A creative coalition of energetic youth and middle-aged individuals, driven by empathy, converged at Umakanto Academy English Medium School. Their mission: to mobilize relief for flood-ravaged Tripura. As the initiative gained momentum, the response was overwhelming. Donations poured in, transforming the school premises into a treasure trove of kindness. Entrepreneurs, now besieged by the sheer volume of contributions, scrambled to accommodate the influx.

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give," as Winston Churchill once said. The people of Tripura, including Agartala, Dharmanagar, Kailashahar, Kamalpur, and Ambasa, exemplified this mantra. From noon till night, the outpouring of support continued unabated. Qatar residents, among others, arrived with gifts in hand, eager to contribute. While some offered checks, the absence of bank accounts posed a temporary hurdle.

As night descended, entrepreneurs struggled to quantify the sheer magnitude of donations. Clothing, food, and essential items overflowed the premises, a testament to the community's generosity. This selfless display will be etched in golden letters on the pages of Tripura's history. Though names remain unmentioned, the hearts of those involved beat with a shared purpose. In response to this remarkable demonstration of solidarity, one phrase suffices: "Well done, Tripura!" Gratitude and accolades to those who flocked to Umakanta school, bearing gifts of hope.
