East Tripura Lok Sabha polls were completely peaceful, BJP is sure to win both seats: Rajib Bhattacharya

The East Tripura Lok Sabha polls were completely peaceful and victory was assured in both seats of Tripura, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya said.BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya said this at the press conference of the Bharatiya Janata Party at the state office after the election in the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat today. Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and Pranjit Singharay were present at the press conference. But there was no one present from Tipramotha or founder of Tipramotha Pradyot Debbarma.

Mr. Bhattacharya during the press conference said that without a single incident of terror, and bloodshed polling was conducted peacefully in all Lok Sabha constituencies of East Tripura today in a festive atmosphere.He also said that the polling percentage was around 80% in spite of intense heatwave and the elections were held peacefully. However, he expressed hope that the vote percentage will increase and it may go above 80 percentage. And he thanked and congratulated the Election Commission, Police Administration and Election Officials along with the media for completing the polling process in a peaceful manner.

According to him, the election was done well because everyone worked properly. And many people did not go to vote in different places or the incidents of vote boycott were unintentional and claimed that people boycotted the vote because there was no development work in these areas during the Left Front government. However, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya said that the party will take a serious look at this matter in the coming days so that no one boycotts the polls in such a way in the future.
