Airport police station recover large consignment of contraband cough syrup

Pulling off a successful operation the officers and jawans of airport police station last night recovered a large consignment of contraband cough syrup from possession of a notorious smuggler in Gandhigram area under Mohanpur subdivision. Acting on a tip-off the officer in charge of airport police station Abhijeet Mandal had led a sizable force of police and TSR jawans had raided last night the residence of a notorious smuggler Anjan Shil near Gandhigram market.

The police force found a car numbered TR01 E 0605 parked in Shil’s residence and recovered a large quantity of contraband cough syrup from the vehicle and brought it police station with the nabbed smuggler Anjan Shil. Abhijeet Mandal said that altogether 1006 bottles of contraband cough syrup had been recovered from the seized vehcle.
