Tripura chess prodigy Aradhya Das needs sponsorship or financial support for participation in international chess events

Lack of sponsorship and financial support from individuals or business houses continue to retard the progress of a universally played and exceedingly competitive indoor game like chess . Many a flower is born to blush unseen in this game where there is no spectator support or very little governmental help . This is what now stands in the way of participation in Asian youth championship and Asian school chess championship by Tripura’s talented chess player Aradhya Das who had already made her mark in competitive chess at national and international level.

Born on March 6 2014, Aradhya has already earned a FIDE rating of 1715 and her FIDE ID is 33361436 and she has earned prestigious ranks in many a national and international tournaments. But now when she is keen to take part in the Asian Youth Chess championship scheduled to come off at Almaty in Kazakhsthan and in the Asian School Chess championship-2024 at Bangkok. She has been selected for participation in these two tough and competitive tournaments on the strength of her performances in the National Under-9 girls championship and in National School championship in both of which she got highly creditable ranks. But financial constraints have stood in the way of her participation in the Asian Youth and Asian School chess championships.

The parents of Aradhya have sought sponsorship or financial support from people so that their talented ward can take part in the tournaments.
