Three more employees have been put under suspension after it was proved that they had taken active part in programmes organised by political parties in the Loksabha poll fray in violation of mode code of conduct (MCC) enforced by the election commission. The first to be suspended was the Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) of Jagannathpur panchayat under the Kumarghat block , Bikram Dutta . According to allegations made by opposition parties to the SDM (Kailasahar) Bikram Dutta had been seated on the front row of a joining meeting of BJP in the residence of local BJP leader Ajit Dhar in Tarapur village on April 9. He was photographed sitting there and having verified the matter the SDM (Kailsahar) had directed the BDO (Kumarghat) to take action . Accordingly Bikram Dutta was put under suspension by the BDO on April 16.

In yet another incident in Santir Bazar in south Tripura, a grade-IV employee engaged in state run Birchandra state central library , Bijay Krishna Das Goswami , was put under suspension for taking part in a political programme on April 20 in Bogafa area . He took part in the programme even though the model code of conduct is still in force all over the state. A complaint in this regard had been made to the director of higher education and he ordered the suspension of Bijay Krishna Das Goswami. Besides, a videographer engaged on temporary basis in the society for entrepreneurship development under the information department named Rajesh Kumar Ghosh was also suspended for active participation in political party’s programme in violation of the model code of conduct.
