Tripura cabinet approves creation and filling up of over 2k posts of different departments

The Tripura cabinet led by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha approved a number of proposals related to creation of new posts and filling up those lying vacant. Briefing the media persons on the cabinet meeting, Tripura Cabinet spokesperson Sushanta Chowhdury said that proposals moved for filling up and creation of posts in different departments including Rural Development, School Education and Home had been approved.
“A proposal moved by the RD department to hire 198 junior engineers had been approved. Tripura Public Service Commission has been assigned with the task to conduct the examinations for the recruitment drive,” said Chowdhury.
In the school education department, the government has decided to recruit as many as 1,566 under-graduate and graduate teachers for elementary education. “Teachers Recruitment Board Tripura will conduct the examination to hire as many as 1099 under graduate and 456 graduate teachers through TET exam,” the Minister added. He also further added that 112 posts of Special Educators for Vidya Jyoti Schools will also be hired. For the Home Department, the cabinet has approved the proposal for recruiting as many as 151 warders. “Out of the total posts 137 posts are for males while the rest of others are for females,” he added.
