Amra Bangali opposes move to convert Puspabanta Palace into a hotel

The agitation spearheaded by Tribal Youth Federation protesting against converting the ‘Puspabanta Palace’ into a hotel received support from an unusual corner when the Amra Bangali also demanded to maintain the Heritage Building to its original shape. The State Secretary of the party Gauranga Rudra Pal in a press conference said emotions of Maharaja as well as Rabindranath Tagore are involved with this building and that should not be disturbed.

There is a report that the state government is going to sign an agreement with the Taj Group to set up an heritage hotel in this palace. Receiving the report, the TYF launched an agitation protesting against the move. Many other organisations also extended their support to the agitation.
