Senior Accounts officer of AG office commits suicide by jumping down

In a bizarre incident that has sent shock waves , a senior accounts officer of local Accountant General (AG) office, Gopal Debnath (56) today committed suicide by jumping down from the roof of the office building around 12-00 PM. Sources from AG office said that a carom competition was on in the office and most of the employees of the office were busy viewing the games at cost of official work. Gopal Debnath who had been in a mentally depressed condition also took a view of the games in competition for a short while and left the spot. All of a sudden people in the office heard the sound of a sickening thud and rushing out of their rooms they saw Gopal Debnath lying unconscious in a pool of blood on the space below the building where pension work is done.

Gopal Debnath who had multiple limbs fractured were rushed to GBP hospital where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty. A case of unnatural death was registered by the NCC police station whose officers had rushed to the AG office after being informed of what had happened. The shocked officers and employees of AG office could not say anything about the reason for Gopal Debnath’s suicide. They said that Gopal Debnath was a sincere employee and his suicide is unexpected and shocking.
