Per head income of the farmers has increased considerably during the time of this government, says Ratan Lal Nath

Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath claimed that the income of the framing community in the state has increased considerably since the BJP government came into power in the state. He said it became possible as the government has taken various steps to improve the productivity of the soil and adopted various modern technologies in Agriculture as the government has given modern tools to 38 thousand farmers.
He said the government has taken various steps to improve the living standard of the people and 82 percent people in the state are now getting drinking water through pipeline. He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a vegetable shed at Pabiacherra. He also laid the foundation stone for an Agricultural Training Centre and Office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture.
He said the total budget for Agriculture was Rs 330 crore during the previous government which has increased to Rs 539 crore during this government. It has been reflected in the improvement of the income of the farmers as the annual per head income of the farmers is Rs 13,590 at present which was only Rs 6,580 during the time of the previous government.
