Unnatural deaths including suicide continue in different parts of Tripura, three die in past twenty four hours

Despite regular reporting of incidents, there is no let-up as yet of unnatural deaths in suicides and road mishaps . During the past twenty four hours three youths have died by suicide and road rages in Agartala and Fatikroy area of Unakoti district. According to information given by police sources the hanging dead body of a youth was recovered by police yesterday from his residence . Sources said that the youth named Bhajan Paul (34) had mysteriously hung himself to death in a room of his house but the reason for his suicide is not yet known . It is only after the post-mortem report is available that how he committed suicide will be known as he was alone in the house.

Apart from this, Saju Debnath (19) , employee of a private finance company, had been on his way back home on his motor bike. Sources from Fatikroy said that Saju had been returning home, as on other days , from Kumarghat to Kailasahar but when he was in front of the office of the forest department in Ashram Pally the motor bike in which he had been travelling collided with a bicycle and Saju lost balance and fell on the road. He had sustained serious injury on the head and was taken to Kumarghat hospital from where he was being taken to Silchar medical hospital but he breathed his last on the way. Sources said that despite working in the private finance company Saju, a resident of Saidabari in Kumar ghat, was a student of Fatikroy B.R.Ambedkar college. His death by accident has cast a shadow of grief in the entire Kumarghat area.

In yet another heart rending incident a sixteen yearold teenager Sudhan Das was smashed to death by a speeding bus in front of the Tripura Central University yesterday in the morning . Sudhan was a resident of Bishalgarh but would work in a scooter mechanic shop opposite to the univeresity and was coming to his work-place by his bicycle. But as soon as he reached there was smashed to death by a speeding bus heading for Agartala from Udaipur. Sudhan was initially taken to TMC hospital and then GBP hospital where he was pronounced dead within minutes. The driver of the bus No-TR-03-1355 Tapas Das fled the spot and could not be caught by local people.
