Preparation for Kharchi Mela going on in full swing

Preparation for Kharchi Puja at Chaturdash Devata Bari Temple in Old Agartala is going on in full swing as distribution of coupons for stalls has started from Tuesday. A meeting of the mela committee headed by MLA Ratan Chakraborty also was held. The meeting elaborately discussed the preparations and instructed the concerned persons to complete all work at least three days ahead of the mela.

Ratan Chakraborty said the price of the coupon was kept the same as last year to ensure that every person intending to participate in the mela gets the facility. Repairing the roads and peripheral areas also has been started. BDO Santanu Datta, Chairman of the Panchayat Samity Biswajit Shil and others were present. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will inaugurate the mela.
