11 outposts upgraded; total number of police stations has increased to 90

The police administration has decided to set up 11 new police stations in the state. Eleven new police out posts are being upgraded to police stations. Collegetila, GB and Ramnagar outposts of the capital have also become police stations in this list. As the 11 new police station coming up, the boundaries of several old police stations were also changed. According to the notification, the 11 police outposts are converted to police station are Bagma, Chelagung, Manpathar, Baijalbari, Taibandal, Khairpur, Bagbasa, Champaknagar, Collegetila, GB and Ramnagar. A notification from the Home Department of the Government of Tripura has informed that these 11 police out posts will function as police stations from now on. According to the Home Department, the revenue villages under Bagma Police Station are Bagma Part, Khupilong Part, Radhakishorpur RF Part, Kariyamura, Barobhaiya, Bagbasa and Tepaniya Part. The boundaries of Bagma Police Station are Pathalighat under Bishramganj police station on the north, Kakraban under Kakraban police station on the south, Khupilong under Killa police station on the east and Bagbasa under Melaghar on the west.

With the new 11 police stations, the number of total police stations in the state now stands at 90.
