The chief minister Dr Manik Saha today expressed his concern over the pattern of employees votes in the just concluded assembly election. “We tried to fulfill the demands of the employees in terms of DA payments as much as possible but the pattern of employees votes as evident from postal ballots has now become a matter of concern; we have faith in employees” said Dr Saha without elaborating on what he actually meant. He also did not say whether his ‘faith’ had been nullified by the employees through their voting pattern.
Dr Saha was speaking in a voluntary blood donation camp organized by the state gazette officers association in the nursing institute in IGM hospital. He was alluding to only 34.40% votes polled by BJP in the postal ballots. Dr Saha also kept silent on whether his new governent will try to neutralize the remaining 18% of gap in DA payment between state and central employees.
