An Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawan on visit to his in-laws house died mysteriously on Friday night . His body was found beside a road in Badhupara village in Kanchanpur subdivision. The dead jawan identified as Joseph Reang was a resident of remote Ananda Bazar village and posted in Uttar Pradesh. He had returned home on leave a few days ago but yesterday he had gone to his in-laws house in Badhupara village. It was reported by local sources that Joseph did not have a good rapport with his wife and he had possibly gone to in-laws house to bring her back home.
Police sources said that local people saw Joseph Reang lying beside the road in Badhupra village and informed police . Having reached the spot police personnel arranged to send senseless Joseph Reang to Kanchanpur hospital where the doctor on duty pronounced him ‘brought dead’. Sources said that a case of unnatural death has been registered by police but sources from Badhupara said that Joseph Reang might have been murdered also.
