G20 meeting beside mela ground, Book Fair likely to receive a large number of foreign guests

The 41st Agartala Bok Fair wrearing a new feather in its cap as a session of the G20 is going to be held beside it where a large number of foreign delegates will remain present. The Book Fair will be held from March 24 to April 5 and the G20 event will take place on April 3.

The managing committee of the Book Fair managing Committee in a meeting on Friday has decided to mke the event a grand one. Chairman of the fair committee, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha who presided over the meeting said addition of the international event his incresed our responsibility and the organisers must ensure that the emage of the state is brigten before the foreing guests.

The meeting was informed that a total 193 applications have been received which surpassed all previous records. The meeting has decided to bring changes in participation norms as providing accomodation to so many applicants may become impossible. There are applicants from Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati and Bangladesh.
