The ‘Tipra Motha’ supremo Pradyot Kishore has responded to the charge brought against his party by the union home minister Amit Shah in his speech today in a meeting at Santir Bazar. Amit Shah had described the ‘Tipra Motha’ as the ‘B’ team of Congress and CPI (M) and accused it of having under the table links with the two parties. Strongly rebutting the charges, the ‘Motha’ supremo Pradyot Kishore said in a meeting at Lefunga area under Mohanpur subdivision that ‘Tipra Motha’ is not a ‘B’ team of any party. “We are fighting the elections on our own without any understanding with any party ; there is no question of ‘Tipra Motha’ being a ‘B’ team of any party ; you have been wrongly briefed honourable home minister” said Pradyot.

He also contradicted the version of development of Tripura over the past five years, as pronounced by Amit Shah in his speech, saying over the past five years nothing really has happened in the state except trouble created by the BJP against opposition parties and entire people. “You have been wrongly briefed by your local leaders as they did nothing and even in implementation of central schemes they created lot of problems for people in deriving benefits” said Pradyot. He said that the union home minister had called ‘Tipra Mortha’ several times but nothing fruitful came out of this. “You should remember that your party is the ‘B’ team in states like Tamil Nadu and Nagaland; we are not; we are sticking to our demands and shall do the same” said Pradyot.

He called upon the people listening to him in the rally to remain united in their goal and not to divide their votes . Pradyot also clearly said that the ruling BJP should benefit in no way from divided vote among opposition parties.
