20-point election manifesto of the Congress published, promising to establish good governance

The Pradesh Congress released a 20-point manifesto with the message of forming a government to end misrule and establish good governance for the people. On Sunday, Congress leader MLA Sudip Roy Barman announced this declaration at a press conference with All India Leader Jarita Lightfrang in charge of Tripura. The first of the declaration was strict control of law and order and zero tolerance policy to stop crimes against women. Secondly, it has been said that anti-corruption laws will be strengthened through amendments to the Lokayukta Act. The Congress has promised to introduce free services for the poor in government hospitals and to rapidly expand super specialty services. Moreover, the election manifesto of the Congress has also promised to give 150 units of electricity for free.

Declaring war against drug dealers, providing 14 essential commodities at affordable prices through public distribution system, taking initiatives to provide practical solutions to 10323 dismissed teachers and bringing deceased teachers' families under this, regular vacancies in government offices will be filled, said Sudip Roy Barman.

It has been said that the wages of all workers including agriculture, rubber, tea workers will be guaranteed on the basis of price index. It has also been reported that taking the initiative to pass the 125th Amendment Bill in the Parliament to give more power to the ADC, a special package will be announced to improve the socio-economic living standards of the poor tribes.

The State Congress Committee said in the manifesto, payment of gratuity to employees twice a year, bringing back TSRs working outside, increase in ration money-clothing-allowance etc. of Police-TSR-Home Guard and SPOs and simplification of die-in harness scheme.
