Tribals deprived of development during BJP rule, alleges jiten Choudhury

CPI(M) state secretary Jiten Choudhury accused the BJP of not doing any development work in the tribal areas of the state and damaged them socially. He was addressing a meeting in support of CPI(M) candidate Jiban Mohon Tripura at Chawmanu. He said the BJP misguided the tribals with faults assurances before the 2018 election and forgot after coming into power. He warned the people not to fall into their trap again as they are again coming with new assurances.

Citing the situation prevailing before the election in 2018, he said the BJP misguided the youths and tried to create a division among the tribal and non-tribals but the then Left Front government carefully tackled the situation ensuring that the tribal-nontribal unity remains intact.

He said the situation prevailing in the tribal areas is serious due to a lack of work. Many people are forced to spend days without food. The power supply in the hilly areas is pathetic and all other essential services are scarce. Life has become terrible, he said and urged the people to vote in favor of CPI(M) candidate to get rid of this undesirable situation.
